The ACM, after running a survey among its members, has decided to put up the full text of several classic books from the world of computing. Among others they are:
- Macintosh human interface guidelines
- The Elements of Programming Style, 2nd edition
- Structured programming
- The theory of parsing, translation, and compiling
- PASCAL user manual and report
- Anatomy of LISP
