A new edition of the Hackmeeting in A Corunha

On this site we echo the calls for participation:

«Hackers, hacktivists, nerds, lurkers, technology hobbyists, geeks and other «meigas» put their hands back on the keyboard to implement, bit by bit and ping by ping, the XII Hackmeeting. A gathering that, over a self-managed and free weekend, and crossing the threads of the social, the technological and the political, builds a new way of creating, of relating to each other, of enjoying sharing and of learning by teaching. These three days of self-management, self-organisation, free circulation of knowledge, hacktivism, cyberactivism, hacker ethics, cyclohacking, appropriation of the means of production, free media, free software, free hardware, autonomy, p2p, guifi.net and free networks, among other things, will take place at the CSO Palavea in A Coruña, from 21 to 23 October. Come and share, the hackmeeting is you too!»

This year we again feel like getting together around what motivates us: hacktivism, cyberspace, the culture of free software and hardware… A self-managed weekend in which to share experiences and technopolitical projects.

The HackMeeting is made up of a series of autonomous and intertwined nodes (workshops, talks). All the activities at a Hackmeeting are carried out by volunteers. Anyone can propose or present a node. This call for participation aims to encourage anyone who has something they want to share at this Hackmeeting to propose and present a node.

There is no preconceived idea of what this hackmeeting will be. Hacking and hacktivism in a broad sense: hacking of machines and protocols but also of social codes and of the way of understanding and using technology. Come and share your hacks (computer ones or not), your viral minds and ideas. Copyfight, distributed networks, free hardware, inventions or music, debates or workshops…

You can see a list of the nodes proposed this year at the following link:

If you go this year, we invite you to tell us about the experience.
