Parrot is an attempt to create a virtual machine whose main target is dynamic languages such as perl, tcl, python or ruby. It is currently in alpha phase (version 0.6.1) but it can be said that the infrastructure is almost created, and little by little languages based on this virtual machine are being created.
One of parrot’s main objectives is the creation of rakudo or per6 on parrot. There is a lot of information available on the net:
