Go: Google's new programming language

At google they have decided that we need another «systems language», and they bring us «Go». Go promotes the creation of systems and servers as if they were a set of processes that communicate, called goroutines. You can start thousands of goroutines and forget about overflows (stack overflows). It has been released under the BSD licence.

More information at GoLang.org, where you can find the Go FAQ and a tutorial.

It is worth noting that Russ Cox and Rob Pike have worked on this project, people who have passed through Bell Labs, the place where C, Unix and Plan9 were invented.

It is no surprise that the Go implementation inherits things from all of them.

You can also watch the presentation video at Google Tech Talks, where Rob Pike gives the presentation talk explaining the features of the language.
