Are you an entrepreneur? New Stanford courses

Your editor, interested in computer science, threw himself in and enrolled in the previous edition. Juggling work and daily responsibilities with picking up studies again has been a hard task. Your editor hopes this acquired discipline bears fruit with these new courses that begin now.

As they literally say in «The Lean Launchpad»: «In this class we will teach you to turn a great idea into a great company». The prerequisites for enrolling are: Passion, curiosity, adaptability, agility.

In «Technology Entrepreneurship» they tell us: «Do you want to create a successful new company?» «This class combines team projects guided by a mentor, case studies, research into the entrepreneurial process, and the opportunity to build a network of contacts and ask your questions to the most cutting edge entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley. It is aimed at undergraduate students of any degree who want to understand the formation and growth of new high impact companies in the areas of information technologies, ecology, medicine and consumer goods. There are no prerequisites.

And if computing is your thing, you can combine it with the following offer.

Computer science courses

Something is moving in the field of training, of online teaching, and in the field of creating new companies.

Other universities have previously been releasing their contents. However, it is the first time I see this offer of participation at this scale, and with the offer of having follow-up and assessment.

From here we show our recognition of the work done at Stanford, of the professors and the people involved in making this project a reality. For Stanford, this educational experiment is going to let it get to know, worldwide, the people interested in these subjects. For the rest of us it is an opportunity to take part in quality training, which we hope others will join.
